"Hip hop gave me language when I didn't have words."
Elijah came to HHCI through a court-referred diversion program after a minor offense at age 14. Three years later, he's a peer mentor in his chapter and recently performed spoken word at a community town hall. His transformation is real — and he needs continued support to see it all the way through.
Their Goal
Mentor five new youth in the P.L.A.Y.E.R.S. program and pursue a career in community advocacy.
